Alpi Pirarucu is a decorative wood surface developed by ALPI, inspired by one of the largest freshwater fish species in the world, native to the Amazon River. Its name derives from the Tupi language, combining “pirá” (fish) and “arucu” (red), referring to the fish’s distinctive scales, which shift from silver to reddish tones toward the tail. This natural inspiration is translated into a rhythmic and flowing surface pattern that evokes the texture and movement of fish scales. The interplay of texture and tonal variation creates a dynamic visual effect, enhanced by light, giving the surface depth and a sense of motion. Produced using ALPI’s reconstituted wood technology, the panels combine sustainability with design flexibility. They offer consistent quality while maintaining a natural-looking aesthetic.
