The Process Gallery, a monolithic structure located in an open area surrounded by woodland near the village of Lenham in Kent, is described as "a thought-provoking piece of architecture." The photography studio consists of two spaces: a low-volume working area and a long X-ray room connected to the working space by a heavy metal door. These two spaces were designed together to capture Veasey’s artistic process, from the X-ray images to post-production and final display. Hollaway explains about the project, "By using a robust yet contemporary material like corrugated metal cladding, we decided to place the gallery in the same position as the old large hangar." The gallery with corrugated metal cladding is defined by a large picture window inspired by a camera lens, expressed externally by an angled wooden opening. Natural light illuminates the simple plywood interior of the gallery. The long, pyramid-shaped X-ray room, reminiscent of Kentish Oast houses, takes its shape from the X-ray machine’s adjustable up-and-down form. The firm also worked with an X-ray expert to ensure the space was adequately protected from radiation.
