What matters most when a fire breaks out unexpectedly? Exactly, having enough time to get everyone to safety. With that in mind, Metaflex offers the Medicare EI1: a fire-resistant sliding door system available in 30- or 60-minute versions.

It is the first hermetically sealing sliding door to meet the highest EI1 classification under EN 1634-1, and it is also smoke resistant in accordance with EN 1634-3. EN 1634-1 is the European standard for fire-resistant doors. The EI1 rating is awarded after extensive testing confirms that the door blocks flames (E), prevents overheating (I) and limits heat transfer (W).

The Medicare EI1 is a dependable choice for environments with high fire safety demands, such as operating rooms, intensive care units, X-ray areas, pharmacies and emergency departments.
